F1 LIVE | Third free practice for the 2022 Hungarian Grand Prix

Before qualifying gets underway on Saturday, it's time for the third and final free practice session of the Formula One weekend. FP1 and FP2 were topped by Ferrari drivers Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc, can they live up to it in the predicted rain?

The 2022 Hungarian Grand Prix could be very interesting and that is mainly due to the weather forecast for Saturday. Rain and thunderstorms are expected at the Hungaroring, which could spoil the Formula 1 teams' plans.

In the first two practice sessions, which were held on a dry and very hot track, Sainz and Leclerc were the fastest in their Ferrari cars. However, there were some surprises: Lando Norris ended the second free practice in second place, while teammate Daniel Ricciardo finished fifth.

With rain predicted, the third free practice session can go one of two ways. Either it will be an exciting session where just about everyone has a chance to set the fastest time, or teams and drivers will save their cars and parts and we will hardly see a car on track.
