Jonathan Wheatley was a vital part of Red Bull's championship success as sporting director, but is now spearheading Sauber as team principal.

Wheatley revealed why he left Red Bull in an interview with RacingNews365: "I'll be honest with you, there was an article that came out in Miami last year. Wheatley has helped push Sauber to sixth in the Constructors' Championship ahead of the Audi transformation in 2026.
