Thursday afternoon it was announced that Max Verstappen would miss the media day ahead of the Miami Grand Prix weekend. Red Bull Racing confirmed that this is because the baby that the Dutchman and his girlfriend, Kelly Piquet, are expecting is due shortly. Piquet, later on Thursday posted a tribute to her daughter, Penelope, on Instagram.

In her latest post on the platform, Verstappen's girlfriend shared multiple photos where she posed with 'P' for the company Tiffany And Co. In the message, Kelly wrote: “The mother-daughter bond is like no other - built on love, trust and countless little moments we’ll cherish forever 💗.”
The photos found in the post are likely not recent. Red Bull announced that Verstappen and Piquet's baby's arrival is expected shortly. For that reason, the four-time world champion will also arrive later in Miami, where the Grand Prix is being held this weekend.
It now seems that Verstappen is on his way to America. An account that tracks where airplanes land and take off reported on Thursday afternoon that Verstappen's plane has left Nice. The private jet is said to be on its way to Miami, where the Dutchman will join in for FP1 and Sprint Qualifying on Friday.
