Verstappen appears to be en route to Miami after missing media day due to arrival of baby

On X there's an account solely dedicated to tracking Verstappen's airplaine movements. Said account has reported that Verstappen's 8X jet has taken off from the Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, the closest air terminal to Monaco, Verstappen's place of residence.

The delay in the Dutchman's traveling plans were due to his upcoming baby's arrival, as GPblog reported earlier. Red Bull confirmed as much later on. However, the question regarding Verstappen's baby arriving or not, is yet to be answered, with more news surrounding the child's birth expected within the coming hours. 

This would be Verstappen's first child, and his girlfriend's Kelly Piquet's second, with the Brazilian model mothering a child already from a previous marriage to former F1 driver Daniil Kvyat, Verstappen's stepdaughter, Penelope.
