Windsor reflects on Russell's good start and Verstappen's bad luck

Peter Windsor was impressed with the start George Russell made at the Sakhir Grand Prix, as the Brit took the lead from Valtteri Bottas. Windsor also commented on the incident at the start of the race involving Verstappen, Leclerc and Perez.

"Valtteri was on pole, but he was passed on the dirty side of the track in the first corner by George Russell who, let's face it, doesn't have much experience starting in a Mercedes car. But he was really good, typically George Russell," praised Windsor in his latest YouTube video about the young Brit's first few yards.

It was a messy weekend for Bottas. "Valtteri didn't know what was going on, he went back to the mode he was in on Friday when he made a lot of mistakes and was amazed at how fast George was. Saturday it was the old Bottas, the Bottas we haven't seen very often this year. He was really good on Saturday. On Sunday all he needed was the first turn and he was like, 'woah, what's going on here?'"

For Verstappen and Charles Leclerc the Sakhir Grand Prix ended prematurely. "Max did a good job, Sergio did a good job, but Charles in the Ferrari misjudged the situation and slowed down. And he had a good chance of getting a good result today. Max turned left and tried to get back on the track, but he just went into the tyre barrier and destroyed the front of the Red Bull without much help," concludes Windsor.
