New owners change nothing for Russell

So late in the current season, the 2021 drivers' market is still open in all directions. Certainly in the midfield and at the back of the grid, there is plenty of possibilities. However, one man who isn't worrying about his contract is George Russell, despite Williams' new owners.

Russell is part of the Mercedes set up but has been with Williams since his debut in Formula 1 last season. The Brit has gained plenty of fans with his talent despite having not scored a point in the pinnacle of motorsport.

Russell not concerned by new owners

"I just have a contract for next year. From a contractual point of view, nothing has changed with the arrival of the new owners. By the way, I haven't talked to the new owners about my contract yet, mainly because I ' I'm not worried about that," said a confident Russell to Motorsport.com .

"Unfortunately there isn't room for everyone in F1," said Russell, who hopes that his connection at Mercedes will protect him somewhat. "If there were any concerns, it might indeed help."
