Lewis Hamilton has set a personal record but this is not one that he will be pleased about. The seven-time world champion has failed to win in more than ten races in a row for the first time in his career.

Eleven races without a win

Hamilton's third place at Silverstone marked the eleventh consecutive race in which he failed to win. A run that began in Abu Dhabi 2021, when he lost the race and the championship to Max Verstappen on the final lap of the race.

Still no victory in 2022

The string of no wins also means Hamilton is still without a victory in 2022. If he fails to win in the current season, it would immediately mean that Hamilton has failed to win in a season for the first time in his F1 career.
