McLaren has just announced that they'll be running a special livery for the 2025 Monaco and Spanish Grands Prix. Recap on all their recent Monaco special liveries here.
The 2025 'Riviera' design commemorates McLaren's 1968 M7A car as well as their partnership with OKX. It's not the first time that McLaren has made livery tweaks for Monaco. The papaya team have made changes every year since 2021. Which one is your favourite? Vote for your favourite livery in the poll below!

McLaren has revealed they will run with a special livery once again at the Monaco Grand Prix. The team will also compete with the same livery in Spain, and is inspired by the McLaren M7A Danny Hulme and Bruce McLaren competed with in the 1968 season.
McLaren's livery "marks OKX’s European market launch and nods to McLaren’s iconic M7A race car, with the clean lines of the livery enhancement also drawing inspiration from the elegance of the Riviera, while it also juxtaposes the legacy of the M7A against the innovation that runs through the modern-day team and its partner OKX."

2024 'Senna' livery

In 2024, McLaren presented a unique livery for the Monaco Grand Prix. For the Woking-based team, they dedicated their livery to McLaren legend Ayrton Senna, who won the illustrious Monaco race six times. Oscar Piastri crossed the line in second, with Lando Norris in fourth.
Explaining the livery, McLaren wrote: "The vibrant yellow, green and blue colourway takes inspiration from his iconic helmet and will feature on the MCL38 throughout the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix weekend."

2023 'Triple Crown' livery

McLaren created a special 'Triple Crown livery'. Winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Indy500 and the Monaco Grand Prix means you have achieved what is known as the Triple Crown. Graham Hill is the only driver who has ever managed that, but McLaren also achieved the Triple Crown.
At the time, McLaren stated: "The livery embraces and honours McLaren’s Triple Crown achievements in winning the three most prestigious races in motorsport: the 1974 Indy 500 with Johnny Rutherford, the 1984 Monaco Grand Prix with Alain Prost, and the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans with JJ Lehto, Yannick Dalmas and Masanori Sekiya." Norris finished 9th, with Piastri just behind in 10th.

2021 'Gulf' livery

The team didn't run a special livery in 2022. In 2021 however, one of the most striking modern designs etched itself in the history books.
In their unveiling message, the Woking-based squad wrote: "McLaren Racing and strategic partner, Gulf Oil International, today unveiled an innovative special livery celebrating their historic partnership with a one-off iconic design for the 2021 Monaco Grand Prix on 20-23 May. The evocative livery marks the return of the sport to one of Formula 1’s most emblematic grand prix and brings fans one of the most recognisable and admired motorsport liveries of all time."
Lando Norris finished the race in third, whilst Daniel Ricciardo finished outside the points in 12th place.
