Verstappen's team skips Nurburgring race due to weather conditions

Max Verstappen's team will not compete in today's NLS round at the Nordschleife due to the poor weather conditions.

The team shared on social media: "Due to the current weather forecast, the team has decided not to start today’s NLS1 race at the Nurburgring Nordschleife.

"Following discussions with the drivers, engineers and tyre partner, the decision was made not to take any unnecessary risks.

"Safety first. Onwards to NLS2!"

This week, Lucas Auer, Daniel Juncadella and Jules Gounon were meant to drive for the team in Germany.

While he is currently competing at the Shanghai International Circuit, the trio will be joined by Verstappen next week for round two of the NLS season.
