Marc Priestley: 'They did a great job at Portimao'

This week the Portuguese Grand Prix was almost certainly announced. After holding a race in Portugal last year, the organisation looks to return to Portimao. Marc Priestley discusses the addition of this circuit to the calendar extensively in his podcast.

Another hole could be found in the calendar of next season. Official confirmation is still pending, but Portimao seems certain of a new grand prix. Marc Priestley sees this as a positive. "In my view, the 2020 edition was an addition to the calendar. Definitely a great venue", he told on his YouTube channel.

The former McLaren mechanic also praised the precautions taken against the corona virus. "The Portimao circuit proved to be able to handle all the protocols concerning corona. That is why it has a good chance of appearing on the calendar." Lewis Hamilton finished first last season. Followed by Valtteri Bottas and Max Verstappen.
