Jos Verstappen will make his debut in the British Rally Championship next month, Autosport has learned. The former Formula 1 driver will then take part in the Rallynuts Severn Valley Stages, an event representing the second round of the BRC (British Rally Championship).
Jos Verstappen started rallying in 2022 and Max's father is achieving more and more successes. Verstappen sr. mainly competes a lot in Belgian races, but in April he will thus take to British soil for the first time. It will also immediately be his first ever weekend on gravel. Once again, Renaud Jamoul will step in alongside Jos as co-driver of the Skoda Fabia RS Rally2.
The 52-year-old Dutchman is in top form. He won the Ardennes Rally in Belgium on Saturday. A week earlier, Verstappen senior was also the best in the Hannuit Rally, although that event did not count for the Belgian rally championship. Anyway, with his victory in the Ardennes, Jos is still in the race for the title, just like his son in Formula 1.
