Horner again sees key role for Perez at Styrian GP

Sergio Perez has been the ideal wingman for Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing over the last two Grands Prix. In Baku he took the win after his teammate's misfortune and in France he ensured Mercedes were limited in their strategic options. Will he be able to do the same again in Austria?
At first glance his starting position is not ideal. Saturday remains the Mexican's weak point and a fourth place on the grid behind Lando Norris means he could be hindered on the first lap. Team principal Christian Horner said in Red Bull's press release that he's confident Perez will find his way to the front of the grid.

Perez must make things difficult for Hamilton

"Checo found more and more speed each session and opted for the soft tyre in Q2. That gives us a strategic difference between the cars for tomorrow's race and an optimal strategy for the start," said Horner who believes Perez can make things difficult not only for Norris.
"Checo needs to get past Lando quickly, and I think he can do that. After that we have to try and put pressure on Lewis to get the most out of the race. One thing is for sure: it will be an exciting battle at the front."
