Where La Gazzetta dello Sport earlier on Tuesday reported that the new engine for Ferrari can already be introduced at Monza, the Italian branch of Motorsport.com is a bit more cautious. The medium reports that the Maranello-based formation will only get access to an upgraded power unit in Turkey.
The engine in Leclerc's SF20 in Hungary is so badly damaged that he has had a new unit screwed into his car. The new spec-3, which includes Shell's oil and new petrol and hybrid modifications, is scheduled for the weekend at Istanbul Park, so Leclerc will simply be driving with a power unit as he has in recent GPs.
The Italian Grand Prix is scheduled for September 12, while the Turkish Grand Prix will take place on October 3. The Tiffosi will have to be patient for a while.

Aerodynamic update as well

The new engine should indeed deliver about ten horsepower extra and there is also something to come in terms of aerodynamics. "In the Ardennes Ferrari has made some small aero updates, but the expectations are not too optimistic after analysing the simulation data", reads the Italian website.
