Which real F1 driver do the Braking Point characters take inspiration from

The F123 video game releases this Friday and a lot of eyes are on the returning game mode, Braking Point. The story mode features several plot lines featuring fictional characters but do any of them take inspiration from the current grid?

Formula 1 is packed with different characters and personalities so the makers of F123 are spoilt for choice when it comes to inspiration for creating their characters but it is clear one driver in particular stood out.

Speaking exclusively to GPBlog Lee Mather, the Senior Creative Director for EA Sports revealed that a certain Brit was of particular interest.

"When we originally started writing Aiden back in ‘21, we spoke to the writing crew," Mather explained.

"And to be honest, Lando was one that we referenced quite a lot, obviously, that fresh-faced up and coming, great performance. And we thought that that was a really good angle. But to be honest, there are quite a few drivers like that in Formula 1, and so many new young drivers, exciting talent. But at the time, we kind of reference Lando a few times," Mather added.
