After not taking part in any of yesterday’s Top Qualifying sessions - with Lucas Auer driving in Top Qualifying 1,
Max Verstappen in Top Qualifying 2, and Dani Juncadella in the final session - the Frenchman handled warm-up duties today.
Gounon completed a total of two laps and set the ninth-fastest time with an 8:50.3. Fastest on track this morning was Verstappen Racing's sister #80
Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo car, with Maxime Martin behind the wheel setting an 8:32.2.
After the conclusion of the one-hour warm-up this morning, the paddock begins to prepare for the key event of the weekend. Cars begin entering the starting grid at 12:45 local time (11:45 GMT). The formation lap will then get underway at 14:40 local time. The race itself is set to begin at 15:00 (14:00 GMT).
Juncadella will start the race for Verstappen Racing later today.
