OFFICIAL: Gasly stays at AlphaTauri in 2021

Pierre Gasly will once again drive for AlphaTauri in 2021, the team has confirmed. The Frenchman has performed well so far this year, but will not be promoted to Red Bull Racing.

Gasly debuted in Formula 1 at the end of 2017 at Toro Rosso and in 2018 was given his chance to prove himself for a full season with the Red Bull junior team. The Frenchman even did so well that he was able to replace Daniel Ricciardo at Red Bull Racing in 2019. However, this did not go as well as expected and the Frenchman was demoted after six months.

After the relegation Gasly didn't give up and already in 2019 he made it to the podium in Brazil. In 2020 he surpassed that performance, even winning at Monza in a crazy race. The move he so desired back to Red Bull will not happen in 2021 for Gasly, but he's set for another strong season with Alpha Tauri.
