I am a passionate and knowledgeable Formula 1 fan who has watched the sport since age five, watching every single race. Having karted competitively throughout my teens, I understand what it takes to be a racing driver, and every aspect of motorsports fascinates me. I am now studying sports journalism at the University of Gloucestershire with the hopes of one day landing a dream role in motorsport. As well as English, I speak Spanish fluently after living there for some time when I was younger.
Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur will not be present for the Austrian Grand Prix due to personal reasons.
The Frenchman will return home, with Deputy Team Principal Jerome D'Ambrosio taking his place for the raceday.
D'Ambrosio is a former F1 driver himself, having driven in 20 Grands Prix for Virgin and Lotus. The Belgian joined Ferrari in October 2024 and works as Deputy Team Principal. He is also the head of the Ferrari Driver Academy.
After leaving the role of Venturi team principal in Formula E, The 39-year-old had a short stint with Mercedes as Driver Development Director before joining Ferrari. At the German team, he was also seen as a potential successor to Toto Wolff.
Vasseur's absence comes just after a solid qualifying perfomance from his both drivers.
