Honda has officially left Formula 1, but will continue to support Red Bull Racing's engine division for the time being. This was expected to be the case up to and including 2025, but the parties had nothing in writing for after 2022. That is now the case.

Honda and Red Bull extend agreement through 2025

Following discussions between Red Bull and Honda, both parties have agreed that HRC will continue to provide technical support to Red Bull Powertrains in relation to the production of its Formula One engines until the end of 2025.
It was expected that the agreement would be extended until the introduction of the new engine regulations in 2026, but nothing was written in black and white. In 2022, Honda continued to provide support for Red Bull's development of its own powerplant at their request, with part of the workforce from Japan transferred to Milton Keynes. Now both parties have agreed to extend the cooperation until the end of 2025.
