Pierre Gasly triggered the second red flag of the day during the second day of testing in Bahrain. Gasly’s car was quickly cleared after he wisely stopped in a safe area, allowing marshals to intervene and the session to resume.
The cause of the stoppage remains unclear, with Alpine facing another technical issue following Franco Colapinto’s halt on day one.
The Frenchman had set the fourth-fastest time of the day, while still racking up an impressive 97 laps — almost the equivalent of two Grands Prix at Sakhir.
