Alex Albon makes F1 future decision with new Williams contract

Alex Albon has signed a new contract with Williams, keeping him with the team in 2027.
Williams announced the news ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix and amid a difficult start to the season.
In a statement, the Thai-British driver said: “Since joining Atlassian Williams F1 Team in 2022, the transformation this team has made is difficult to put into words.
“One tough year doesn’t tell the full picture, and it only gives me more motivation to keep building and pushing together with the factory and our fans to achieve great things.
“Our story is not over yet, so my full focus now is on doing whatever it takes to get us back up the grid.”

Williams team principal James Vowles added: “I am delighted that Alex and Atlassian Williams F1 Team are continuing our extraordinary journey together.
“Alex has been a leader of this transformation project since day one and we have plenty of unfinished business that we are determined to achieve."
In a social media message to Williams' fans, Albon said: "I am continuing my journey with Williams, I just wanted to say a big thank you for all the support.
"I know we've had our highs and lows, unfortunately more lows recently, but you are with us all the time and we always feel very grateful to have all that support.
