Donuts galore! Watch Max Verstappen end the F1 season in style

Everyone loves a good donut. With no engine or gearbox to save, the drivers had free rein to do what they wanted on the cool-down lap at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Both Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen celebrated and impressed the crowd with a smoke show.

12 months ago, there was a similar end of race party event which had Fernando Alonso in the middle of it for a farewell. A big farewell wasn't arranged for either Nico Hulkenberg or Robert Kubica this time around.

Hamilton started the donuts and Verstappen joined in. It looked like he had stalled his Aston Martin Red Bull Racing car at the end and needed to walk, alongside Charles Leclerc, to greet the six-time world champion. Verstappen finished second after another impressive drive. He dropped to third in the opening stages of the Grand Prix but managed to get past the Ferrari later in the race.
