The Dutchman, coming off a difficult start to the
Formula 1 season with a sixth-place finish in Australia followed by a DNF in China, is once again set to switch from
F1 to GT racing, ready to put on a show for his fans at the wheel of the #3 Verstappen Racing-liveried Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo.
In 2025, Verstappen first competed with a GT4, and in October, he won his first race with a GT3 at the Nordschleife, with Chris Lulham as his teammate.
The NLS format is compact, with all the competitive action taking place on Saturday. Qualifying is scheduled for the morning at 08:30, setting the grid for the four-hour race, which gets underway at 12:00, as a large and varied field takes on the combined Nordschleife layout.
Daniel Juncadella and Jules Gounon will line up as Max Verstappen’s teammates aboard the #3 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, bringing together a wealth of experience across GT and endurance racing.
Juncadella, a former Formula 3 Euro Series champion, has combined roles as an F1 test driver with a solid career in DTM, IMSA and the World Endurance Championship, where he secured a class win in Qatar in 2025.
Gounon is one of the most accomplished endurance specialists of his generation, with victories at the 24 Hours of Spa and Daytona, multiple GT World Challenge Europe titles, and recent Hypercar experience with Alpine, including podiums at Imola and Spa.
