Max Verstappen has won the sprint race in Belgium after a nerve-wracking competition. The Dutchman took the lead after overtaking Oscar Piastri on lap one.
Red Bull Racing has brought several updates to Max Verstappen's car this weekend in Spa-Francorchamps. These updates appear to be working well for now. During the qualifying for the sprint race, he was in a good position at P2, but the gap to Oscar Piastri was insurmountable.
After a strong start from Verstappen, he was immediately behind Piastri. In the end, the Dutchman managed to overtake the Australian on the straightaway in the first lap. Throughout the rest of the race, the McLaren driver was right behind him, but with a strong second sector, he was able to claim victory.

Due to the battle between Verstappen and Piastri, Lando Norris eventually managed to connect with the lead in third place. This forced Piastri to also defend against his teammate. Norris briefly lost third place to Charles Leclerc on the first lap, but quickly managed to overtake him again.
