Verstappen reacts to his TQ2 lap

Speaking to Mercedes after the conclusion of Top Qualifying 2, the Dutchman explained: "Yeah, I mean, I felt comfortable in the car. Of course, we were targeting to get to Top Qualifying 3, which of course is not easy with the competition out there. It's super tough. You know, a lot of fast cars around, but yeah, we just managed to sneak in. So yeah, the final lap was just good enough. It was nice. I mean, luckily it was dry. The car felt all right, and we managed to sneak in, so that was the target."

Verstappen's teammates at the 24h Nurburgring

Verstappen is joined by three teammates in the #3 car at this year's 24h Nurburgring. Daniel Juncadella is a two-time podium finisher at the Nordschleife and an experienced GT driver. Jules Gounon also brings extensive experience, with both drivers currently competing in the WEC Hypercar category as well. Verstappen is also teamed up with his former Formula 3 European Championship rival Lucas Auer, who was part of the GTD class-winning team at this year’s 24 Hours of Daytona.
