Max Verstappen saw a second place during the Grand Prix of Emilia Romagna go up in smoke due to a bizarre crash. His rear tyre suddenly seemed to blow. See here the unique video of that moment!

Verstappen had a fantastic start in Imola and immediately passed Lewis Hamilton to take second place. He had to give up that spot at the pit stops, when the Brit got lucky with the Virtual Safety Car and grabbed the lead.

Due to damage to Bottas' car, the Dutchman was able to increase the pressure on the Finn and Verstappen forced him into an error. Verstappen was able to pass Bottas and began to extend a lead. However, a tyre burst and he spun out of the race.

Until these images, we hadn't seen what had happened before. On these newly released images, however, we can see that the tyre of Verstappen broke down spontaneously, after which the driver of Red Bull Racing has no chance of recovering. What will Pirelli think of these images?
