Fernando Alonso is writing Formula 1 car history even while on holiday. The Spaniard was the first driver to drive a modern Formula 1 car around the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe.
Presence of Alpine at Le Mans
Alpine has a big presence at the 24 Hours of Le Mans all weekend long. Both Alonso and Esteban Ocon will be on the track, and of course Alpine will have a car racing in the Hypercar class.
Before the lights went green on Saturday afternoon at Le Mans, Alonso had a unique opportunity. The two-time Formula One World Champion was given the opportunity to take a lap around the 13km-plus circuit in a modern Formula One car.
