Alonso hits hard during training for the Indy 500

During training for the Indy 500, Fernando Alonso learned a hard lesson in racing the Ovals. The Spaniard touched the kerbs and then ended up in the wall. His team will have to do a lot of work to get him ready in time for qualifying.

Alonso will return to Formula 1 from 2021, but will participate in the Indy 500 one more time this year. The Spaniard already has two participations behind his name. At his first attempt he dropped out due to an engine problem and in the second attempt he stranded in qualifying. This time the Spaniard makes it very difficult for his team prior to qualifying.

The team has been given permission to work on the car, but will have a tough task to get Alonso's car ready in time for qualifying. It was a nice hit that Alonso made, even though he was in sixth place on the timesheet at the time of contact.
