F1 Analysis: New McLaren car is put under the magnifying glass

Marc Priestley, a former McLaren mechanic, has been putting all of the new cars under his magnifying glass. On this occasion, he gets chance to look at his former team and assesses their challenger for the 2020 Formula 1 season.

Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris will go off in pursuit of retaining their 'best of the rest' position in the F1 constructors' championship. Sainz managed a podium last year as they made significant ground on their road to recovery.

Andreas Seidl's arrival boosted McLaren's chances, but he only arrived after the season started. This is the first McLaren car he has been able to directly affect before a wheel has been turned on track.
