Max Verstappen's second Formula 1 crown was overshadowed by more controversy as the FIA made a hash of yet another rain affected race.

In challenging condition Carlos Sainz spun out and with cars still on track with the race red flagged a recovery vehicle was left on track, evoking memories of the tragic incident involving Jules Bianchi at the same circuit.
