Lewis Hamilton and George Russell explain in a video why they feel it is important to support Pride Month. Earlier this week, Mercedes revealed that they will be racing with a special 'Pride star' throughout the month.

Hamilton proud of Mercedes

"Pride Month is an opportunity to recognize the progress that has already been made," Hamilton says in the video. He is proud of the fact that Mercedes feels responsible to make a statement during this month.

In addition to the car, the 'Pride star' will also be seen on the helmets of Hamilton and Russell. Mercedes is not the only team involved in Pride Month, as Alpine also has a rainbow flag on its car.
