It's been reported that Mick Schumacher will feature in free practice during the German Grand Prix weekend. The 20-year-old completed a Ferrari test in Bahrain, and with no Formula 2 in Germany, Ferrari is looking at taking the next step.
According to the German newspaper Kolner Express, Schumacher's drive is already confirmed. The son of Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher is in the Ferrari academy and looks likely to pursue a racing career in the same series.
After the Bahrain test, Schumacher spoke out about how good of an opportunity it was.
"These are doors that open. It gives me the opportunity to work with the Formula 1 engineers from Ferrari in Maranello. I can learn things there that are very important for my future and that I can use in Formula 2 as well," Schumacher said.
