There has been much talk over the past week about the booing Christian Horner and Max Verstappen suffered during the F1 75 event. Following the events, the FIA released a statement expressing its dissapointment with the fans' behaviour towards the Red Bull Racing men. According to Motorsport.com, the governing body plans to bring up the matter to the Motorsport Council later this week.

Verstappen and Horner booed

From the moment Verstappen went on stage at the F1 75 event, boos broke out from the stands, and when Red Bull Racing team boss Christian Horner took the microphone he was subject to the same treatment from the crown present at the O2 Arena.
Verstappen and Horner were not the only victims of the British fans' booing, however. The moment presenter Laura Winter mentioned the FIA, praising the governing body for its work in motor racing over the past 75 years, booing once again took over the environment of the event.

The FIA shared a statement last weekend about the treatment Verstappen and Horner received from the crowd, but more steps may still be taken, with the governing body to be, seemingly, keen on discussing the issue at the next World Motorsport Council meeting next Wednesday.
Verstappen seemed to be less than enthusiastic regarding the F1 75 Live event altogether prior to its celebration, but after being subject to the British fans' acrimony, the Dutchman is said now to be completely done with it. According to his father, Jos Verstappen, the Red Bull Racing driver will skip the event should it be held again in England.
