"Management of Max Verstappen is looking for a pay raise at Red Bull"

Max Verstappen is in the form of his life going into the Hungarian Grand Prix. Red Bull's new relationship with Honda is working well after two wins out of the last three Grands Prix. Verstappen is dominating his teammate, and is asking for a pay rise!

According to Auto Motor und Sport, the management of Verstappen has been talking to the management of Red Bull. Now that Verstappen is in complete control of the Red Bull car, the management wants to get more of their current deal.

Earlier in the season, rumours suggested that Verstappen wanted to trigger a contract clause to release him from Red Bull. Now it seems as if he wants the opposite to happen!

Of course, it would not be completely illogical, because Verstappen signed his contract when his form was not great. Both parties, however, expressed confidence in each other and mainly looked at the long term. As Verstappen is pushing Red Bull-Honda to a higher level, its value may have increased somewhat compared to previous negotiations.
