Max Verstappen was understandably angry at missing out on the win in Brazil after Esteban Ocon punted him into a spin whilst trying to unlap himself.
Whilst Ocon was in the wrong, it doesn’t mean Verstappen is allowed to push a fellow competitior aggressively, and Mercedes team manager Toto Wolff believes that the Dutchman is still in a “learning process” despite having almost four full F1 seasons under his belt.
Verstappen has five wins to his name in his F1 career and despite believing he has a lot left to learn, Wolff does see him as a future World Champion.
“You can see there is a future champion coming together, unbelievable talent and speed,” Wolff said.
“I think once the raw edges are off, he will be somebody who will be a world champion one day.

“In a few years, he will look at the footage of [Brazil] and maybe have his own opinion as to whether that was the right behaviour or not.
“But you can’t accelerate those things. This is a learning process.”
