Wolff the mediator in the Racing Point case: "They're all so stubborn"

Tensions between the F1 teams on the situation at Racing Point are now running high. The pink brigade is said to have taken over Mercedes designs and last week the FIA decided that this was indeed the case with one of those parts.
Racing Point therefore got fifteen points deducted, but part of the competition is not satisfied with that. Renault, McLaren, Ferrari and Williams want a heavier penalty and may appeal. Toto Wolff previously warned them not to do so and is now going to work as a mediator.

Teams need to sort things quickly quickly with Wolff's help

By the way, he says he was asked for that. It is now his job to avoid going to court. "I don't think it's in anyone's interest that this will last forever," he says at Sky Sports F1. "Everyone tries to be pragmatic."
"They're all so stubborn, but I think we're making progress, even if it's just a little bit." Negotiations must all take place quickly, because within 48 hours after last weekend it must be known whether the teams will pursue their indictment. Autosport.com is able to report that teams behind the scenes are meanwhile dissatisfied with the involvement of Mercedes and Toto Wollf in this case.
