Friday brought Barcelona testing to a close — a five-day run that, while still offering limited clues in terms of outright performance, nevertheless provided some early talking points, sketching out the first tentative pecking order and hinting at what to expect ahead of the upcoming Bahrain session.

Mercedes and Ferrari placed particular emphasis on mileage, putting their respective power units through an intense workload.

George Russell emerged as the most active driver overall with an impressive 265 laps completed across three days, followed by Esteban Ocon. Third on the list was Kimi Antonelli in the second Mercedes, racking up 237 laps in total.

Fourth and sixth place went to Ferrari duo Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, who logged 231 and 204 laps respectively, while Pierre Gasly’s Alpine split the two on 227 laps — further underlining the early signs of strong reliability from the Mercedes-powered package.

Looking at the full mileage order from the Barcelona test, Mercedes emerged as the most active team over the five days, completing 500 laps in total. Ferrari slotted in behind on 437, with Haas not far off after putting together 391 laps of running.

Alpine followed with 349 laps across the week, while Racing Bulls and Red Bull recorded 318 and 303 respectively. McLaren wrapped up the test on 288 laps, Audi finished on 243, and Cadillac reached 164. Aston Martin’s track time proved minimal at just 65 laps, whereas Williams did not log any mileage at all in Barcelona.
