Due to the significant time lost under the red flag, race control has extended the end of Qualifying 1 for the Nürburgring Qualifiers.
An early crash brought Qualifying 1 to an immediate halt at the Nürburgring Qualifiers, with the #39 Walkenhorst Motorsport Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 EVO ending up in the barriers.
Christian Krognes was at the wheel at the time, escaping unharmed, but the impact caused heavy damage to the guardrail.

What was initially expected to be a short interruption quickly turned into a lengthy stoppage, with the red flag lasting over 30 minutes as repairs were carried out.
The delay has forced race control to revise the schedule, with the session now set to finish at 10:50 instead of the planned 10:00.
