Max Verstappen’s team is under investigation following a minor incident caused by Lucas Auer in the early stages of Qualifying Race 1 at the Nürburgring Qualifiers.
A collision involving the No. 3 Verstappen Mercedes-AMG and the No. 941 Adrenalin Cayman of Adrian Rziczny, Mark van der Snel and Max van der Snel is currently under investigation by the stewards, with Verstappen now at the wheel after taking over from Lucas Auer.
The Austrian had been tasked with taking to the track first for the session, with the Dutchman stepping in with around 30 minutes to go.
However, a replay not initially shown later revealed Auer attempting an overtake on the Porsche ahead into a tight corner, making contact and sending it into a spin.
