Pascal Wehrlein is one of several drivers being considered for the second Toro Rosso seat in 2019. Red Bull are assessing all of their options before confirming a driver for next season after announcing in Russia that Daniil Kvyat will be returning to the team he was replaced by last season.
Head of the driver development programme for Red Bull, Dr Helmut Marko admitted that the team was considering all of their options which included Wehrlein now that the German was not a part of the Mercedes development scheme.
"It's a different story now, yes," he told Motorsport.com. "We haven't made any decision. He's on a long list."
One driver who isn't on Red Bull's radar for an F1 drive next year is Mick Schumacher, despite several strong performances late in the European F3 season to overtake Red Bull's own Dan Ticktum for the lead of the championship.
"No, definitely not," said the Austrian. "I think it's too early for him. Let's see what happens in F2."

Although Marko was hinting at Wehrlein being a possibility, Christian Horner suggested that the former Mercedes driver was unavailable for next season, already committed to a drive in Formula E.
"My understanding is he's off to do Formula E next year," he told Motorsport.com.
"There are numerous options available. I think we've got plenty of time. I don't think we need to be in a rush."
