It is set to be a sunny and warm race weekend at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve for the Canadian Grand Prix. Friday is set to have some slight cloud cover with the sun burning the cloud away as the weekend progresses. Temperatures for the race are predicted to be as high as 28c which is noticeably higher than the 21c that was recorded last year.
The track temperature is set to be between 45c and 50c and teams have the choice of the three softest tyre compounds with Pirelli bringing the C5 C4 and C3 tyre. There is a low chance of rain but there could be some strong gusts coming across the track meaning that the drivers will have to choose their breaking points very carefully.
