James Vowles wants to step into Williams' project with great energy. As Jost Capito's successor, all eyes will be on him next season. The new team boss needs to get all noses in the same direction and is confident in doing so.
Performance in recent years has certainly not been anything to write home about. Since 2018, the British formation has failed to move away from the bottom of the Constructors' Championship, which means a lot needs to be done in the coming seasons to make significant progress.
With the departure of Nicholas Latifi and the bringing in of Logan Sargeant, Williams hopes to raise the level of drivers further, although it remains to be seen what the American driver is capable of in his first year. Alexander Albon, therefore, looks set to take the team by the hand.

Vowles believes in collaboration

Vowles is working behind the scenes, first and foremost, to get the team closer so that the cooperation between them improves. He learned the strength of the latter in recent years at Mercedes, he told The Race. In doing so, he hopes to create a stable foundation for the future.

"Making sure that everyone understands that it’s about working together," Vowles says. "It’s about empowerment, it’s about treating your colleagues with the respect that you want back from them, the growth you want back for them so that we can work together towards an end goal. It’s incredibly important."
