The 2019 season may have only just come to its conclusion, but preparations for the 2020 edition are still going on. The CEO of the new Vietnam Grand Prix has revealed that 80% of the work is done.
The Vietnam Grand Prix was the first new race under Liberty Media's ownership of Formula 1 and they have since capitalised on Max Verstappen's popularity bringing back the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort. The race around the streets of Hanoi is scheduled for the 4th April and will see drivers take on 55 laps of the 5.6-kilometre circuit.
With only a few months until the first Vietnam Grand Prix the CEO has revealed that there is still work to be done, but is confident in completion.
“We expect that everything will be ready by the end of this year. I get nervous as soon as I realize that there are approximately 120 days left," Le Ngoc Chi told Auto Hebdo.
"I watch a countdown on my laptop in my office. The date is fixed according to the FIA and our team is working tirelessly.
