Sebastian Vettel is ready for the new season. The driver is confident that Aston Martin will perform well in it, although he realizes that due to the changes in the regulations, a great challenge awaits the drivers.
The FIA changed the rules for this season considerably, which means that the drivers will appear at the starting blocks with a different car. It gives the smaller teams in Formula 1 chances to surprise, while Mercedes and Red Bull Racing will be mainly keen to maintain the current level.

Vettel has high expectations with Aston Martin

For Vettel, an important season is about to begin. The 34-year-old German experienced a reasonable season last year by finishing twelfth in the world championship, but wants to make a big step forward in 2022. Together with teammate Lance Stroll, who finished 13th last year, he hopes to compete with the big teams.
"Ideally, the challenge will be to fight for victories and a lot of podiums, because we are so competitive," Vettel told The Race. "But at this point, I don’t have any expectations." Indeed, Vettel feels that the other teams are holding their cards very close to their chests. "You have no idea what is right and what is wrong."
