Sebastian Vettel has spoken out about UEFA's decision not to grant permission to light up the Allianz Arena. The plan was to do so in the colours of the Pride flag prior to the Germany - Hungary match, in order to send out a message of equality.

Vettel does not understand the decision of UEFA

UEFA decided not to allow the action because it was said to be a 'political message'. "I don't know all the details, but to dismiss it as a political statement is wrong," Vettel told The Race and others during the media session before the Styrian Grand Prix.
"It doesn't hurt anyone and it's a great message to put out, but it's not allowed. Some institutes really need to rethink their approach in terms of banning this kind of message. It's progress, so I don't understand that decision," said the four-time world champion.
