Max Verstappen landed late Monday evening at a small airport in Flamierge, Belgium. It was quickly concluded. This airport is indeed located near the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
The exact reason for the Dutchman's visit was not yet known, but clarity has now been provided. Verstappen will test with a GT car in
Verstappen.com livery at the Belgian circuit. His team,
Verstappen.com Racing, is already competing in the GT3 championship. The Dutchman had previously indicated that he does such tests purely for his pleasure.
Will the Dutchman set another lap record? He previously did so at the Nürburgring under the name Franz Hermann. At the beginning of this month, his sim racing team, Team Redline, participated in the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring,
but was disqualified for cheating. This weekend marks the 'real' 24 Hours of the Nürburgring.
