Verstappen the favourite in Portugal: 'Red Bull's package is just a bit better'

Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton are the two favourites for the Portuguese Grand Prix. Both drivers point to each other as the favourite, but according to Christian Klien, it is clear who is the favourite in Portimao.

The Formula One season has started in the most ideal way. Hamilton and Verstappen each took pole, and if one took pole, the other managed to win the race. A good distribution after the first two races, which makes it difficult to make a prediction for the Portuguese Grand Prix.

''In my opinion, Verstappen is the favourite, because, in my opinion, Red Bull has a slightly better package, and this circuit should also suit the car well,'' the former Formula 1 driver stated according to Motorsport-total.com. Still, the Austrian isn't going to go completely overboard, because, with the current state of F1, there's nothing to predict.

''In the end, it also depends on the performance of the drivers. If a driver comes under pressure, then mistakes creep in. That's what makes races so difficult to predict, which makes it very exciting and cool," concludes the former Jaguar and Red Bull Racing driver.
