Lewis Hamilton leads the standings, but Max Verstappen is only one point behind. We have battle for the championship, and Felipe Massa is hoping for an eventual title for Max Verstappen.
In the first two races of the 2021 Formula 1 season it has become clear that the championship will be between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen. Red Bull Racing have finally built a car that allows Verstappen to compete for victory in every race, but he missed out on it in Bahrain.

Hope for Verstappen

''Verstappen should have won the first two races. Mercedes was smarter with their strategy than Red Bull in Bahrain'', says Hamilton's former rival in conversation with La Gazzetta dello Sport. Massa and Hamilton fought out a bitter title fight in 2008, when Hamilton secured his title in the final corner of the last race.
''It's hard to say who will be world champion in 2021, but from a sporting point of view I'm obviously hoping for Verstappen. It's never nice to have the same winner every year. I have a lot of respect for Hamilton. He has already achieved a lot and is still active at a high level'', concluded the Brazilian who himself threw in the towel at the end of 2017.
