Verstappen's lack of understanding: 'It's just about the silly people'

Max Verstappen is shocked by the theories that were found on social media immediately after the Dutch Grand Prix. According to the reports, Red Bull Racing would have ordered AlphaTauri to cause Yuki Tsunoda to drive a safety car so it could beat Mercedes. At the press conference, Verstappen told Sky Sports and others that he was not taking it seriously.

"It's just about the silly people who comment like that and what social media allows in general. It's not only Formula 1. it shouldn't happen, more to be done about that," the Dutchman told the journalists present.

Verstappen wants to close the Dutch GP, however, and focuses on the next challenge that awaits him in Monza. Whereas he has struggled for years on the Italian circuit, this year he seems to have the car that makes him the favourite to win.

The long straights and bends are the main reasons the Austrian stable is looking forward to the race weekend with confidence. Verstappen is also looking forward to battling with Ferrari and Mercedes for victory, he said.
