Oscar Piastri eyes Red Bull Racing and Max Verstappen ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix, and isn't so confident McLaren will come away with the win in Spain. For Piastri, a McLaren dominant weekend is not really in the cards as the field gears up to taken on the
Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
In fact the Aussie feels Red Bull and Verstappen as possible contenders for the win, he said to media like GPblog at Barcelona.
"I expect them to be quick. It's a layout that's similar in some characteristics to where they have been quick this year. All the higher speed circuits are generally where Max and Red Bull have been very strong."
"And this is another one of those circuits. So I expect them to be definitely in the fight this weekend," he said.

Both Piastri and teammate Lando Norris should be further up ahead in the standings, but after 8 rounds Verstappen keeps the two papaya drivers on a tight leash.
Where Verstappen has been able to challenge for the win, he has more often than not taken the 25 points. Where he hasn't been in the mix for victory he has often come out with the best possible result.
As it stands the Dutchman trails Piastri and Norris by 25 and 22 points respectively. A difference that amounts to a race win, rendering the fight for the Drivers' title still quite open indeed.
