Max Verstappen has identified what he has to do if he wants to beat Lewis Hamilton. The Dutchman insists it isn't about weaknesses, rather improving where the six-time World Champion is already good at.
Verstappen had his most successful year win wise, standing on top of the podium on three occasions, the Austrian, German and Brazilian Grands Prix. The Red Bull driver also finished third in the Drivers' Championship and got his maiden pole position in Hungary.
Despite Verstappen having an impressive season, he was still some way off the standard set by Hamilton.
“I am not afraid of Lewis, otherwise I would better stay home. If I'm not here to win, it doesn't make sense, because then your attitude is wrong," Verstappen told The Sun.
“It's good to race against drivers like Lewis. He is a six-time world champion and has won many races - I want to achieve that too. I want people to think it's boring because I win every weekend. "

“I don't think I need to focus on his weaknesses, I just have to focus on being better in the things he is good at . That means consistency and speed. It does not differ much from what I am doing now, it has been a good year. "
